Howling Abyss rules
Prepare for one shared lane
ARAM removes the normal Rift role map. Build around the champion, the five-player team and the next fight instead.

You cannot Recall to buy. Plan components before leaving the shop and use each death timer deliberately.
A relic heals nearby allies after a short delay. Signal it and avoid taking the trigger when a lower-health teammate needs the area.
Minions create structure pressure and safer space. Clearing first can be more useful than forcing another low-health engage.
ARAM · Howling Abyss
ARAM utility support
Compare the opening with Riot's ARAM Recommended shop before leaving base. After that, purchases happen only while dead; the six usable inventory slots do not increase.

Guardian's Orb
950 goldAn ARAM ability-power starter to compare with the current Recommended shop.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity
900 goldAdds inexpensive haste and movement for repeated utility casts.

Moonstone Renewer
2,200 goldImproves repeated healing and shielding during grouped fights.

Shurelya's Battlesong
2,200 goldHelps nearby allies start or leave a fight.

Redemption
2,300 goldProvides a long-range team heal for spread fights.

Mikael's Blessing
2,300 goldRemoves eligible crowd control from one ally; replace it when there is nothing important to cleanse.

Ardent Censer
2,200 goldCompletes the permanent inventory with ally attack speed and on-hit damage when the team can use both.
Buy this only after selling the Guardian starter when all six permanent slots are needed.

Runes and summoner spells
Runes and summoner spellsYuumiHowling Abyss
ARAM removes the attached lane partner pattern. Flash preserves one emergency reposition while Exhaust protects the ally Yuumi joins during a fight.
Sorcery
Resolve
Keep Exhaust when one diver can reach the ally Yuumi intends to join. Clarity is an alternative only when the whole composition needs the extra mana.
ARAM still requires Yuumi to detach, reposition and select a reachable ally. Flash remains useful when attachment is unavailable or interrupted.
Static alternatives
Compare the problem before changing the plan
These choices are not selected from live scores. Use one only after you identify the stated match problem yourself.

Oblivion Orb
Oblivion Orb supplies healing reduction without committing to a completed Morellonomicon. Skip both when healing is not the problem or an ally already covers your target reliably. Healing reduction does not reduce shields.
Conditional component, not a core item. Complete Morellonomicon only when its stats and slot efficiency justify delaying another purchase.
Zhonya's Hourglass
Zhonya's stasis can absorb a committed dive or lethal burst window.

Banshee's Veil
Banshee's spell shield can protect the first important cast against you.

Void Staff
Void Staff becomes valuable when the target has bought meaningful magic resistance.
Situational AP purchase
When should you buy anti-heal?
Buy healing reduction when enemy healing or regeneration is deciding fights and you can keep damaging the relevant target. Grievous Wounds reduces healing; it does not reduce shields, magic damage or crowd control.
Start with the component
Oblivion Orb can provide healing reduction without immediately paying for a completed Morellonomicon. Fit the component around your core damage, mana and survival needs; check the current queue's item tooltip.
Finish when it fits the fight
Complete Morellonomicon when its stats and slot efficiency suit your build. Do not treat it as a mandatory first item just because your champion deals magic damage.
Coordinate coverage
Multiple Grievous Wounds sources do not add their percentages together. Another reliable applier may cover the same target, but you may still need your own source for a separate fight or target.
Repeated spell damage and damage over time can maintain coverage more reliably than a single hit. Match the purchase to your actual spell access, enemy sustain and the teammates who can apply the debuff.
Will the fight last long enough?
If you die before dealing damage, you apply no healing reduction. If your target dies before healing, there is little healing to prevent. The debuff applies on qualifying damage immediately; it does not need to build up. It remains briefly after your last hit, so teammates can benefit even after you disengage.
Only healing during the active debuff counts. For example, 40% reduction prevents 80 of a 200-point heal, or 400 of a 1,000-point heal, before other modifiers. Compare that with the damage, penetration or survival you delayed; neither example guarantees a kill. Healing after the debuff expires is unaffected.
See the Oblivion Orb and Morellonomicon references for current effects and queue availability. These are situational decisions, not a measured best-build claim.
Kit reference
Yuumi abilities
Ability names, descriptions and numeric fields come from Riot Data Dragon. Practical reads are independently written; the current in-game tooltip remains authoritative.

Feline Friendship
What it doesPeriodically, when Yuumi strikes a champion with an attack or ability, she restores health to herself and the next ally she Attaches to. While Attached, Yuumi generates a special bond with her allies. The ally with the strongest bond enhances Yuumi's abilities while she is Attached to them.
Practical readFeline Friendship is the always-on rule shaping Yuumi's normal trading and fight pattern. Watch its in-game state before committing.

Prowling Projectile
What it doesYuumi fires a missile, dealing damage and slowing first target hit. It deals bonus damage and an enchanced slow if it takes at least 1.35 seconds to get to its target. While on her Best Friend, the slow is always enhanced and grants bonus On-Hit damage to her ally. While Attached, the missile can be controlled with your cursor for a brief period.
Practical readProwling Projectile is a ranged cast involving a slowing effect and basic-attack interaction. Respect its line or target area, and avoid spending it when the opponent can simply step away before the important exchange.

You and Me!
What it doesYuumi dashes to a target ally, becoming untargetable from everything except turrets. While on her Best Friend, she gains Heal & Shield Power and grants her Ally On-Hit healing.
Practical readYou and Me! contributes protection or sustain and basic-attack interaction. Its value changes with cooldown, range and target access; recognise the setup before moving into its effective area.
The protection or sustain is part of the cast's value. Compare its timing with incoming damage rather than reading only the offensive effect.
The cast changes position or access. Account for where the champion finishes, not only where the ability begins.

Zoomies
What it doesShields Yuumi and boosts Move Speed and Attack Speed. If she's attached, she passes it to her ally instead.
Practical readZoomies contributes basic-attack interaction. Its value changes with cooldown, range and target access; recognise the setup before moving into its effective area.
The protection or sustain is part of the cast's value. Compare its timing with incoming damage rather than reading only the offensive effect.

Final Chapter
What it doesYuumi channels five waves that damage enemies and heal allies. Yuumi can move, attach, and cast Zoomies! while channeling. While on her Best Friend, this spell also follows her mouse.
Practical readFinal Chapter contributes protection or sustain and damage. Its value changes with cooldown, range and target access; recognise the setup before moving into its effective area.
This cast has a wind-up, charge or channel. Movement, interruption or a changing target state can matter before the effect completes.
Adapt the plan
What to do when the game changes
Judge the whole lane or map state, not only personal kills. Choose the situation closest to the current game.
Protect the lead while the lane stays shared
Clear together and keep enough health to use the next structure window.
Use brushes and the available healing safely; there are no side lanes to abandon.
Keep useful allies in reach and avoid giving away shutdowns through an isolated chase.
Trade around health, range and the next wave
Let the team clear without spending every important cooldown at once.
Track the shared lane, brush control and available relics rather than looking for a Rift rotation.
Use the champion's reliable range, protection or control before forcing a low-percentage engage.
Use structure space and coordinated clears
Clear from safety and avoid dying before the next minion wave reaches the structure.
Wait for teammates to respawn instead of walking into the shared lane alone.
Punish overextension and preserve the cooldown that can stop the first enemy commitment.
Shared-lane plan
Yuumi on Howling Abyss
Read health, range, wave position and respawn timing together. ARAM has no side-lane rotation, neutral-objective setup or normal ward-control loop.
Clear or escort the wave, check which allies are alive and preserve enough health to use the champion's reliable range, protection or engage.
Use the nearest safe target and the team's reachable follow-up. Do not cross the whole enemy formation for a single low-health champion.
Push with surviving minions, take the safe structure damage available and reset only through a real death rather than donating one alone.
Keep preparing
