The person behind the champion

A story to start with

A nail-slinging exorcist versed in forbidden rites, Corvin Locke is the progeny of Demacian occultists. Born into lies and hypocrisy, he learned young that demons aren't the cause of humanity's darkness, but the consequence. Now, Locke tears through every soul, exposing its darkness, intent on making the world a more honest place… one exorcism at a time.

Short biography by Riot Games · Data Dragon 16.20.1

What shapes their story?

Locke's short overview centres the difference between professed purity and concealed corruption. His own use of forbidden practices makes the pursuit uncomfortable, so the source supports a moral conflict more clearly than a complete sequence of destinations or victories.

    A childhood among Demacian occultists

Corvin Locke grew up among Demacian occultists, in a setting where public claims and concealed practices did not align. That background makes hypocrisy central to how he understands the world's darkness.

Forbidden rites directed at hidden corruption

His exorcism uses forbidden rites and ritual nails, but his judgement reaches beyond demons alone. He sees human failings as part of what gives those horrors their foothold.

An exorcism turns back toward its witnesses

Locke's official overview connects the demons he pursues to human hypocrisy, making the people around a haunting part of his judgement. Forbidden rites and ritual nails define the published account. A complete childhood-to-present itinerary is not established by those details alone.

The story beneath the scenery

What makes this place matter?

Demacia's petricite is more than a building material: it reflects a kingdom shaped by fear of uncontrolled magic. Lux's hidden gifts, Sylas's imprisonment and Galio's awakening offer very different ways into that conflict. Reading them together makes the capital's protective walls feel less straightforward.

Where the stories come from

VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

What the pictures show

Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.
