The person behind the champion

A story to start with

Lucian, a Sentinel of Light, is a grim hunter of wraiths and specters, pursuing them relentlessly and annihilating them with his twin relic pistols. After the specter Thresh slew his wife, Lucian embarked on the path of vengeance—but even with her return to life, his rage is undiminished. Merciless and single-minded, Lucian will stop at nothing to protect the living from the long-dead horrors of the Black Mist.

What shapes their story?

Rescuing Senna cannot simply restore the life that existed before her imprisonment. Lucian's commitment must answer the person who returns and the changed fight she carries, making love a continuing relationship rather than only a reason for revenge.

    A Sentinel fights beside Senna

Lucian's work as a Sentinel of Light became intensely personal when Thresh took his wife Senna. Hunting the undead was no longer only a calling; it was a struggle against a loss he could not accept.

    A reunion changes the mission

Freeing Senna restores a companion whose experience and powers have changed. Lucian cannot simply resume the life they had before the lantern. Fighting beside her again asks him to recognise her choices, while their common enemy continues to threaten people beyond their own loss.

The story beneath the scenery

What makes this place matter?

Demacia's petricite is more than a building material: it reflects a kingdom shaped by fear of uncontrolled magic. Lux's hidden gifts, Sylas's imprisonment and Galio's awakening offer very different ways into that conflict. Reading them together makes the capital's protective walls feel less straightforward.

Where the stories come from

VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

What the pictures show

Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.

A world still being written

Older biographies and newer adaptations can differ. These guides introduce connections rather than declaring a final chronology or a character's current whereabouts. Translations help you explore and may keep original proper names. Follow the official sources for full context.
