The person behind the champion

A story to start with

Raising an eyebrow in the face of danger, Akshan fights evil with dashing charisma, righteous vengeance, and a conspicuous lack of shirts. He is highly skilled in the art of stealth combat, able to evade the eyes of his enemies and reappear when they least expect him. With a keen sense of justice and a legendary death-reversing weapon, he rights the wrongs of Runeterra's many scoundrels while living by his own moral code: “Don't be an ass.”

Short biography by Riot Games · Data Dragon 16.20.1

What shapes their story?

Shadya's influence gives Akshan a standard against which to measure revenge. A weapon that can restore life through another death makes a seemingly personal pursuit inseparable from judgement about whose life should carry the cost.

Shadya, the Absolver and a murder

Shadya saved him and became his mentor. Her murder turned the Absolver, a weapon capable of reversing a killer's victims' deaths, into the centre of his own search for vengeance.

    Justice beyond a single revenge

The Absolver makes another person's death capable of reversing a killing, which gives Akshan's choices unusual consequences. Pursuing Shadya's killer puts that power beside his Sentinel duties and the people still suffering under the warlords he has long opposed.

Where the stories come from

VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

What the pictures show

Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.

A world still being written

Older biographies and newer adaptations can differ. These guides introduce connections rather than declaring a final chronology or a character's current whereabouts. Translations help you explore and may keep original proper names. Follow the official sources for full context.
