The person behind the champion

A story to start with

Talon is the knife in the darkness, a merciless killer able to strike without warning and escape before any alarm is raised. He carved out a dangerous reputation on the brutal streets of Noxus, where he was forced to fight, kill, and steal to survive. Adopted by the notorious Du Couteau family, he now plies his deadly trade at the empire's command, assassinating enemy leaders, captains, and heroes… as well as any Noxian foolish enough to earn the scorn of their masters.

Short biography by Riot Games · Data Dragon 16.20.1

What shapes their story?

The Du Couteau household gives Talon's survival skills a place within an influential family. His loyalty to the general makes disappearance an unresolved obligation, tying a practised killer's independence to a relationship he cannot replace with another assignment.

Survival on the streets of Noxus
Talon's first education came from surviving Noxian streets, where violence was a practical skill before it became a profession. Recognition by the Du Couteau household gave that experience a powerful new patron.

The Du Couteau household gives skill a patron
Training and adoption turned a dangerous survivor into an assassin able to serve imperial interests. The relationship offers status while connecting his choices to a family's hidden obligations and rivalries.

A missing patron leaves an unfinished obligation
General Du Couteau's disappearance removes the figure who gave Talon's survival skills a place and purpose. Searching for answers binds him to that family beyond an ordinary contract. His relationship with Katarina therefore begins in a shared household history, rather than a chance resemblance between assassins.

Where the stories come from

VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

What the pictures show

Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.
