Arrr, Kassadin once knew Shurima as a guide and traveller, then chose a quieter family life. The destruction of his village by the Void turned that settled future into a search for answers and vengeance.

Arrr, Malzahar followed visions through Shurima until his search reached Icathia. What others understand as a terrifying breach, he came to interpret as a revelation about the world's future.
