Arrr, what changed
These notes describe shipped product work. Planned and active work remains on th' public roadmap.
A public sample map for community testing
Try the map without signing in. Invented match facts let everyone test the layout and controls without exposing a player's real game.
- 1The sample uses the VRC.LOL League theme, with objective totals, recorded structure references, a timeline and mobile map controls. Desktop and mobile checks passed at 390, 768 and 1440 pixels.
- 2Your actual feed remains private. Owner controls for selected accounts, signed-in accounts and public sharing are present but real-match sharing is disabled pending verified Riot feature review.
- 3Structure locations are approximate references. Exact artwork alignment, ARAM placement and updated translations remain under review. Please include your screen size and the affected control when reporting an issue.
Worlds Battle Pass source refresh and clearer deadlines
The reward page replaces the ended Act I track with Riot's Worlds 2026 article, and separates the XP deadline from the later purchase window.
- 1All 56 milestones show their free or paid requirement. Search and track filters keep the list readable on smaller screens.
- 2Your manually entered level is saved for this pass on this device. It does not read your Riot account, spend RP or carry progress over from another pass.
- 3A scheduled Go collector checks the current official article. Unexpected schedule or reward formatting preserves the last verified track and an overdue source check is visible.
- 4New passes still require source review before activation. Classic progression remains separate. Updated translations are pending and localized routes identify the English fallback.
Companion and private match map audit
Progress report: these checks describe the current audit, rather than a public Companion release.
- 1The private map now connects through central VRC.LOL sign-in, with its own read permission and verified Companion ownership. Production checks passed for owner access and rejection of anonymous, unbound, missing-permission and revoked sessions. Continue with VRC.LOL from the map to connect its separate session; signed-in browser acceptance remains under review.
- 2The installed local test executable has clearer build-library controls and now opens a selected champion build at its heading. Same-reference repaints preserve your reading position. The Lillia Jungle navigation was checked in the native app, and all 133 saved files were unchanged during replacement. This is not a public Companion download release.
- 3Map number readability, event selection and responsive layouts have been tested. ARAM artwork alignment still needs verification; recorded coordinates are retained and are not moved to fit the picture.
- 4Current Riot item data has been checked against opening packs and replacement arithmetic. Historical recommendations remain labelled historical while champion, role and queue reviews continue.
- 5Native overlay checks, translation review and wider current-build coverage remain open. Riot-policy boundaries continue to exclude enemy tracking and automated gameplay.
Arrr, companion feature scope made explicit
Th' Companion, compliance, privacy aboard and articles pages now separate present behavior, proposed Riot-audited changes and deliberately excluded live-tracking features.
- 1Present local recognition, visible draft ship's intelligence, static preparation and private clash inspect remain clearly described as available.
- 2A Preview, Confirm and Apply rune or summoner-spell flow be documented as proposed and remains disabled while th' submitted product be read-only.
- 3Foe ultimate or spell cooldown tracking be explicitly excluded in line wit' Riot's published League battle-integrity tale.
- 4Competitor feature lists be identified as evidence o' another product's behavior, nay transferable permission fer VRC.LOL.
Arrr, runes and rune pages, plainly explained
A colourful patch-aware beginner chart explains what runes change, where Riot presents them and how a shipshape primary, secondary and stat-shard chart fits together.
- 1Th' chart makes clear th' deck that individual present-system runes be free and that extra permanent chart slots be stowed-layout convenience rather than stronger power.
- 2A four-step chart anatomy separates th' primary course, keystone, secondary course and three smaller stat shards.
- 3All five present rune paths, keystones and minor rows be read from Riot Data Dragon and their icons use VRC.LOL's immutable local asset cache.
- 4Th' five course identities now use their real artwork, colour and a plain-language query so a beginner can set sail wit' th' kind o' lend a hand they need rather than a tier list.
- 5Captain-recommended and custom pages be compared directly, wit' trigger types and six common aboard rune articles explained without assuming prior League knowledge.
- 6Champion-pick instructions explain Riot's temporary captain-recommended chart, custom-chart limits on very new sailor records and th' pre-clash lock-in boundary.
- 7Th' feature-parity boundary be explicit: established apps can apply runes afore play, but VRC.LOL will nay enable a League Client write until that changed product behavior be disclosed to Riot.
- 8All new interface phrases be included across every League language catalogue, while supported Riot locales load rune names and descriptions from their matching Data Dragon files.
- 9Th' chart be included in th' League directory, scan th' horizon, home port chart list, public chart catalogue and SEO metadata.
Companion refit choices and native window recovery
Th' required updater now lets testers preserve their setup or rerun welcome setup, while native recovery controls bring a hidden or off-screen Companion back aboard without touching encrypted clash captain's log.
- 1Every verified refit offers Keep me ship settings, Set sail fresh, or Set sail fresh plus automatic window recovery.
- 2Set sail fresh clears interface preferences only. Sailor record-separated encrypted clash captain's log remains available until th' tester explicitly clears it from Captain's log.
- 3A fixed Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Home port shortcut restores th' Companion to th' primary display, returns it to a normal full window and clears Ghost or press-through.
- 4Th' Windows notification-area menu provides Reveal Companion, Reset th' course window and Exit even when th' WebView be hidden or positioned outside th' visible desktop.
- 5An optional Recover th' window on every startup setting repeats th' seaworthy placement recovery until th' tester disables it.
- 6Th' executable version, file size and SHA-256 shown on th' Companion chart now come from th' same guarded release record used by th' updater.
Arrr, clearer League navigation, matchups and policy records
League pages now use recognisable icons, calmer open layouts, clearer matchup colours and an explicit Production-inspect record so fit fer th' captain's eye guides and Riot-source context be easier to scan on desktop and mobile.
- 1Th' League home port directory replaces decorative numbering wit' meaningful icons across all 37 tools while retaining numbered steps only where order matters.
- 2Th' independent Void Resonance Discord chart uses clearer destination and course symbols, more booty varied accents and less solid card colour.
- 3Th' off-meta and alternate-sailor record references have icon-led section directories wit' every destination visible without sideways scrolling.
- 4Off-meta source wording was reviewed again agin' Riot-owned pages on 11 August 2026, while Riot authority and VRC.LOL independence remain explicit.
- 5Off-meta, Chat and alternate-sailor record copy to parchment actions now share one accessible two-line clipboard control and provide visible copied feedback.
- 6Chat, matchmaking, Recall and betwixt-clash references use descriptive symbols instead o' decorative count badges where reading order be nay required.
- 7Privacy aboard, Articles and API safeguards now clash th' submitted Production application: public Riot-backed lookup and private evidence publication remain disabled while inspect be pending.
- 8Th' API safeguards chart now exposes th' registered product and App ID without exposing credentials or th' private support request, and uses consistent icon-led controls instead o' mixed decorative numbering.
- 9Matchup pages use neutral reading surfaces wit' distinct role, foe, loadout and battle-course accents; th' mobile champion artwork no longer clips th' matchup title.
- 10Champion loadout pages now separate th' opening, six-gear course, loadout identity, rune trees, summoner spells and safe harbour adjustments wit' meaningful doubloons, violet, green, rose and cyan accents instead o' one blue treatment.
- 11Th' frozen VREvent sailor preview was refreshed on 11 August from th' sailor record owner's moored local League client; remakes under five minutes remain excluded and th' chart still makes no live-data claim.
- 12Sailor averages be now calculated from th' completed matches currently displayed, preventing a stale snapshot summary from showing a false 0.00 KDA.
- 13Th' sailor chart now bypasses browser HTML caches, uses Companion-reconciled recorded lanes fer th' frozen tale and loads visible champion portraits from immutable patch assets afore deferred gear inventories.
- 14Better and harder champion matchup patterns now use compact outlined status markers wit' distinct icons instead o' solid label blocks.
- 15Desktop and narrow mobile layouts were checked fer clipping and horizontal overflow afore release.
Arrr, clearer champion counter comparisons
Counter pages now combine readable pre-battle comparisons wit' foe context, lock-in checks, shipshape chart links and scan th' horizon-friendly answers.
- 1Same-role and whole-crew counter views keep their different meanings visible afore th' recommendations begin.
- 2Each option has a wider row fer th' reviewed interaction, broad power window and three-gear loadout preview.
- 3Loadout previews be labelled as previews rather than shipshape purchase orders, wit' th' exact matchup chart one clear th' deck action astern.
- 4Counter scan th' horizon and chart actions now use th' shared outlined command style across desktop and mobile.
- 5Champion overview links give newer sailors a separate place to learn th' suggested pick afore committing to it.
- 6Foe class, reviewed roles and course-specific planning context now sit beside every shortlist.
- 7A four-step lock-in inspect and champion-specific FAQ explain how to use counter options without presenting them as promised wins.
- 8Expanded chart metadata, FAQ schema and related-chart links improve scan th' horizon previews and course discovery.
Arrr, multilingual reminders and safer key verification
Th' invited Companion groups spoken reminders in th' picked language, while private Riot-key replacement now continues safely after th' Command Center closes.
- 1Several due wellbeing reminders be spoken as one short sequence instead o' overlapping or repeating th' introduction.
- 2Reminder speech follows th' picked Companion language and uses a matching local Windows voice when a bundled recording be overboard; no reminder text be sent to an online speech service.
- 3Th' prize comparison now uses th' six actual local Dragon icons fer Infernal, Mountain, Ocean, Cloud, Hextech and Chemtech Drake.
- 4Classic or Draft, Swiftplay and ARAM states be normalised separately, while th' expanded first aboard-run setup covers display, defaults and optional wellbeing choices.
- 5Six local interface themes be available without changing th' factual data or frozen pre-battle recommendation boundary.
- 6Th' invited Windows loadout be now 0.9.9-live-rediscovery-preview. If League crashes during Shipshape Inspect or confirmation and be reopened afore th' battle launches, th' Companion now discovers th' running clash directly without needing its own restart.
- 7Abandoned queue, draft and clash snapshots be cleared when neither th' League client nor an active battle be available, without recording a false clash or triggering a break reminder.
- 8Champion-specific loadout shortcuts open th' picked champion, course and mode directly; th' overlay retains clear th' deck Ghost, minimise, stow away and full-app controls.
- 9Ten Windows-wide actions now have editable shortcuts: overlay mode, stow away or reveal, minimise or restore, Ghost mode, Builds, Champions, Prizes, Captain's log, refresh and Ship settings.
- 10Keyboard shortcuts have their own ship settings tab wit' grouped actions, conflict-aware presets, custom key recording, individual reset th' course controls and a disable option fer every action.
- 11Minimise and stow away be separate actions. Their native shortcuts continue to work while th' Companion be on th' taskbar or completely hidden.
- 12Minimise or restore uses Ctrl+Shift+Z by default. Plain Ctrl+Z remains available as a custom choice but be nay assigned automatically because a Windows-wide binding would replace Undo in chat boxes and other applications.
- 13Draft or Ranked, Swiftplay, ARAM, Arena, custom battles and rotating modes be described separately without applying a Summoner’s Rift loadout to an incompatible mode.
- 14Th' standalone Breaks window no longer reserves an invisible ship settings column, preventing th' large left gap and clipped controls at higher UI scales.
- 15Ghost overlay mode applies adjustable Windows translucency while keeping th' overlay interactive. A 60–95% visibility control and stronger image treatment keep champions and gear legible.
- 16Th' compact overlay now follows th' picked interface percentage exactly, and its native window expands wit' larger scales instead o' squeezing enlarged text into th' original frame.
- 17All six colour themes now reach th' library, ship settings, draft, loadout, live and overlay surfaces. Larger UI scales remain readable without creating th' overlay horizontal scrollbar.
- 18Arrr, english and Pirate retain six selectable wellbeing voices; German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese use a bundled native-language voice.
- 19For each exact group o' due checks, th' Companion trims th' bundled recordings, renders them once into one local sentence and plays that single cached recording. Th' localized connector no longer starts through a separate sailor.
- 20Th' exact recording begins assembling while th' reminder window be being positioned, failed renders retry cleanly, and th' in-memory combination cache stays bounded.
- 21Th' main audio preview now demonstrates a realistic three-inspect bundle through th' same single-recording course used after matches; th' shorter voice preview remains available fer choosing a voice.
- 22A staged Riot development key be verified by a private harbour worker fer up to 15 minutes, so th' Command Center may be closed without cancelling verification.
- 23Sailor record-v1 and Clash-v5 must both accept th' staged credential afore th' existing key be replaced; th' secret be ne'er printed or placed in a public response.
Crew Play, pings and champion emotes
Two new communication guides explain useful crew signals and cosmetic champion controls without turning either into rigid rules.
- 1Crew Play now separates preparation, useful in-clash communication, muting and adapting, and conduct-focused post-clash reporting.
- 2Arrr, ping guidance recognises that two or three quick signals can clarify urgency while repeated unchanged pings can become distracting.
- 3Th' Emotes chart covers Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+6 and th' emote wheel wit' clearer, individually coloured control cards.
- 4Repeated jokes, taunts, dances and laughs be explained as cosmetic actions that remain acceptable when th' sailor continues trying to claim victory.
- 5Arrr, both guides use responsive outlined controls and have verified routes and phrase coverage across all supported League languages.
- 6A new install chart sends sailors directly to Riot’s official Windows or Mac haul aboard and separates Riot technical support from VRC.LOL community lend a hand.
Companion preferences and loadout routes
Th' Companion now opens th' right champion loadout faster and gives local defaults a proper home port.
- 1A dedicated Setup tab can rerun th' four-step welcome flow without hiding it under Champion ship settings.
- 2Pick one global favourite champion and optional favourites fer Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot and Support.
- 3Champion loadout shortcuts now open th' picked champion, course and mode directly.
- 4Water, movement and longer-reset th' course reminders can each use completed matches, elapsed time or Off.
- 5Champion loadout pages use readable role and queue slugs and land at th' loadout section when modes change.
Gear library and queue-aware champion builds
Gear can be searched directly while champion pages keep Draft, Swiftplay and ARAM references separate.
- 1Th' gear-first aboard loadout directory covers finished gear, parts, boots, opening gear and consumables.
- 2Every gear detail chart explains cost, recipe, follow-on gear and queue availability.
- 3Champion pages switch betwixt Draft or Ranked, Swiftplay and ARAM without blending their openings.
Arrr, rift learning references
Th' learning library gained clearer maps, prizes, status effects and beginner references.
- 1Arrr, jungle routes compare starting sides, full clears, shorter clears and pressure paths.
- 2Prize pages cover dragons, Soul, Elder, Baron, Herald and Void Grubs wit' queue context.
- 3Status-effect, vision, ping, turret, inhibitor, minion, course and Recall guides be linked from one shared directory.
