Visibility depends on th' action and each sailor’s mute ship settings.
Cosmetic expression in a clash
Arrr, emotes, taunts, laughs and champion actions
Use animations to celebrate, joke and express yer champion while continuing to play. They do nay stun, damage, block a hook or change a champion’s hitbox, and repeating one does nay create a combat advantage.
Th' direct captain's answer
Aye, repeated champion animations be generally fine
Using dance, laugh, joke, taunt, mastery or equipped emotes several times be nay automatically misconduct when ye keep participating and genuinely play to claim victory. Riot does nay publish a universal press-count limit.
They do nay add damage, defence or crowd control.
Yer next aboard movement, attack or trick commonly takes priority.
Use th' present scoreboard controls when expression becomes distracting.

Set sail wit' these seven default bindings. Yer present League key ship settings, champion and picked skin decide th' exact animation, voice line or wheel that appears.

Dance

Laugh
Plays th' champion’s laugh animation or line. Repeating it does nay improve tricks or damage.
Arrr, champion action
Some champions or skins use this fer a special cosmetic toggle or presentation. Many selections do nothing.
Mastery

Arrr, emote wheel

Animation be nay an trick
What changes, and what does nay
Arrr, what can happen
- Yer champion plays an animation or voice line.
- An equipped emote appears above th' champion.
- Arrr, enemies may see it unless they mute emotes.
- Arrr, movement or another command may interrupt an animation.
- Arrr, a skin may provide a different presentation.
What it does nay do
- It does nay deal damage or apply crowd control.
- It does nay make a champion untargetable.
- It does nay block projectiles or hooks.
- It does nay reveal hidden sea chart ship's intelligence.
- It does nay excuse ignoring th' battle.
Context matters more booty than a count
Frequency alone does nay decide th' boundary
Repeated expression can remain ordinary. Th' fit fer th' captain's eye questions be whether ye be still participating, whether it has become personal or abusive, and whether it be being used incessantly to target someone.
Dancing while safely awaiting, laughing after a belay escape, celebrating plays, responding to another sailor’s emote, or enjoying a champion animation while continuing to farm, move and fight.
Ye stop helping th' clash, follow one person only to provoke them, combine th' animation wit' personal abuse, or use it as part o' intentional AFK play or sabotage.
Keep moving, farming, warding and joining th' plays ye would normally make.
Celebration and light banter be different from personal, abusive or incessant targeting.
An animation should ne'er replace an escape, prize, crew fight or other genuine attempt to claim victory.
Arrr, being on a friends list changes nothing about conduct. A friend can still mute, remove or block ye, and Riot makes th' final decision about reports.
Control yer screen
Mute without continuing th' argument
- 1Unfurl th' scoreboard
Use th' present client controls beside th' sailor to mute their emotes, pings or chat.
- 2Arrr, use chat commands where appropriate
Riot documents mute commands, but th' client UI be clearer when ye only want to stow away one communication type.
- 3Cast off or block after th' clash
Arrr, blocking removes a friendship and prevents future contact according to Riot’s support guidance.
- 4Arrr, report only relevant conduct
An emote itself be nay proof o' misconduct. Describe a sustained, observable harassment pattern and let Riot decide.
