Arrr, The person behind the champion

Arrr, A story to start with

Arrr, A renowned harpooner from the slaughter docks of Bilgewater, Pyke should have met his death in the belly of a gigantic jaull-fish… and yet, he returned. Now, stalking the dank alleys and backways of his former hometown, he uses his new supernatural gifts to bring a swift and gruesome end to those who make their fortune by exploiting others—and a city that prides itself on hunting monsters now finds a monster hunting them.

Arrr, Short biography by Riot Games · Data Dragon 16.20.1

Arrr, What shapes their story?

Arrr, The harpooner's working life gives the later haunting an economic setting. Betrayal happens within an industry that exposes crews to immense danger, making the list and the returned killer part of a story about whose risks support another person's wealth.

Arrr, A harpooner within the slaughter-dock trade

Arrr, Abandoned below, returned for revenge

Arrr, His return from the depths brings supernatural abilities and an expanding demand for punishment. The certainty of his list is deeply unsettling, because revenge no longer behaves like a limited account of one event.

Arrr, The list will not stay finished

Arrr, Pyke's recollection of betrayal expands beyond the men who abandoned him. New names appear to belong on a list whose certainty cannot be trusted. The supernatural return gives his anger reach, without making that anger a reliable historical record of who was present on the original hunt.

Arrr, What makes this place matter?

Arrr, Bilgewater's newcomers built a port among the older culture of the Buhru. Captains and monster hunters pursue their fortunes, while Illaoi's faith provides a very different sense of purpose. The harbour and the Serpent Isles introduce both sides of this setting.

Arrr, Where the stories come from

Arrr, VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

Arrr, What the pictures show

Arrr, Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.
