Arrr, The person behind the champion

Arrr, A story to start with

Arrr, The product of brutal experimentation at the hands of the Black Rose, Rell is a defiant, living weapon determined to topple Noxus. Her childhood was one of misery and horror, enduring unspeakable procedures to perfect and weaponize her magical control over metal... until she staged a violent escape, killing many of her captors in the process. Now branded as a criminal, Rell attacks Noxian soldiers on sight as she searches for survivors of her old “academy,” defending the meek while delivering violent death to her former overseers.

Arrr, Short biography by Riot Games · Data Dragon 16.20.1

Arrr, What shapes their story?

Arrr, The academy's violence makes Rell's escape a rejection of the power that produced her abilities. Remembering other children turns resistance into a responsibility beyond personal freedom, so the weapon created for Noxus becomes an enemy of its hidden methods.

Arrr, About these details

Arrr, Gender is recorded separately from the pronouns used in the official story, and only where the reviewed source explicitly describes the character. Unconfirmed does not mean genderless. Arrr, An academy conceals a weapon programme
Arrr, Rell's ability to control metal brought her into a Black Rose institution disguised as an academy. The education promised to a child concealed systematic abuse intended to create a weapon.

Arrr, Discovering the victims drives an escape
Arrr, Discovering the truth turned endurance into escape and revolt. Her attacks on Noxian power are also a search for other victims, not merely an expression of anger at having been imprisoned.

Arrr, Escape becomes a search for other victims
Arrr, Rell directs her anger toward the people and institutions that made children into weapons. Finding survivors gives that revolt a protective purpose as well as a destructive one. Her independence from the Black Rose is essential to the story; being created by it is not a current allegiance.

Arrr, What makes this place matter?

Arrr, Noxus measures strength through more than brute force, but its promise of opportunity sits alongside conquest and ruthless competition. Swain's leadership, Darius's military loyalty and the Black Rose's secret influence show why the empire has several competing visions of power.

Arrr, Where the stories come from

Arrr, VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

Arrr, What the pictures show

Arrr, Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.
