Elemental knowledge builds a city
The arcologies embody disciplines developed through long study. The cardinal arcology and the Yun Tal give that knowledge both an architectural centre and a governing hierarchy.
Ixtal · Hidden city
Ixaocan
Ixtal's hidden city joins architecture with elemental disciplines. Its cardinal arcology contains the Vidalion, where an initiate accepted into the Yun Tal receives magically woven garments.

Riot Games · World artwork02Concealment protects the established order
Isolation shelters Ixaocan from outsiders while shaping the information available within. Its security and institutions help explain the authority Qiyana wants to claim.

More about this place and its region
Behind the name
The story of this place
The hidden city combines elemental mastery with institutions that decide who may wield authority. The Yun Tal and Vidalion give that system a visible centre. Qiyana's ambitions, Milio's journey and Skarner's protective role reveal different relationships with the city rather than a single shared path through its hierarchy.
Part of a larger world
Ixtal
Ixtal's apparent wilderness conceals a sophisticated elemental civilisation. Ixaocan and the Yun Tal offer a starting point for its institutions, while champions from the surrounding jungle reveal lives outside that ruling structure. These connections do not make every jungle inhabitant a citizen of the city.

Stories connected to this place
These connections include origins, pivotal events and the wider culture of the setting. They do not confirm a character's current location.
MilioHow their story connects
Milio's journey places the kindness of his magic before the institutions that might restore his family's standing. His fire can heal, yet the political setting is not automatically benevolent. Reaching Ixaocan is therefore the beginning of a test rather than proof that the family's hopes are fulfilled.
QiyanaHow their story connects
Qiyana treats elemental brilliance as evidence that birth order should not limit her authority. Ixaocan's isolation offers her a kingdom to claim, while the world beyond it suggests a larger stage. Her confidence in ruling others is not the same as their consent to be ruled.
SkarnerHow their story connects
Skarner's ancient role beneath Ixaocan makes the city's safety a responsibility measured across generations. His growing fear of outside influence puts that guardianship under pressure. The same vigilance that once sheltered a civilisation can limit how its inhabitants choose to meet a changing world.

Where the stories come from
VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.
What the pictures show
Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.
A world still being written
Older biographies and newer adaptations can differ. These guides introduce connections rather than declaring a final chronology or a character's current whereabouts. Translations help you explore and may keep original proper names. Follow the official sources for full context.
