Riot Games · World artworkCommunities live beneath the heavens
Rakkor life and religious traditions belong to the mountain before any individual ascent. The slopes provide homes as well as the beginning of a dangerous climb.

Targon · Mountain
Reaching the summit is a spiritual ordeal as well as a dangerous climb. Some survivors return changed by an Aspect; the lower slopes remain home to migrating Rakkor communities.

Behind the name
The climb draws mortals toward a summit where survival can mean transformation. Atreus, Leona, Diana and Taric do not return with identical relationships to celestial power. The communities on the slopes also matter: this is a lived-in landscape, not simply the destination of an impossible ascent.
Part of a larger world
The mountain is both a physical home and a meeting point with celestial powers. Rakkor communities live on its slopes, while Solari and Lunari traditions shape different understandings of the heavens. The stories of Leona, Diana and Pantheon show the personal cost of those beliefs.

These connections include origins, pivotal events and the wider culture of the setting. They do not confirm a character's current location.
ApheliosHow their story connects
Alune guides and arms her brother from a sanctuary separated from ordinary life. Aphelios accepts pain and silence to maintain that connection. Their campaign to protect the Lunari depends on cooperation across realms, rather than the independence his solitary appearance might suggest.
Aurelion SolHow their story connects
The crown's binding turns Aurelion Sol's creations into leverage against their maker. His attention to weakening control is therefore more than wounded pride. Freedom would restore the choices taken from him, but the beings who deceived him have reason to fear his response.
DianaHow their story connects
The mountain holds the Lunari legacy that challenges the Solari account in which Diana was raised.
KayleHow their story connects
Kayle's pursuit of a purer justice leads her away from the human attachments Morgana chooses to retain. Their shared origin remains important even as their answers diverge. The sisters' conflict asks whether removing vulnerability from a judge also removes an essential way of understanding the judged.
LeonaHow their story connects
The Solari faith and her ascent to become an Aspect connect Leona's personal duty to the mountain.
NamiHow their story connects
Finding the Aspect of the Moon absent from Targon leaves Nami without the expected answer to her people's danger. She must learn an unfamiliar world while carrying their need for a moonstone. The quest establishes a connection to the mountain, not a claim that she lives there.
PantheonHow their story connects
Atreus's ascent led to possession by the Aspect of War. His later return to battle centres the mortal who survived its death.
SorakaHow their story connects
Soraka's willingness to heal is not conditional on a perfect past or guaranteed gratitude. Taking mortal form makes that commitment costly rather than distant. Her connection to Targon's people is therefore an act of chosen involvement, not simply the residence assigned to a celestial being.
TaricHow their story connects
The mountain gives Taric a responsibility broader than the military duty he failed in Demacia. His appreciation of beauty and fragile life becomes central to that calling. Redemption is expressed through the people and places he now protects, rather than the recovery of his former rank.
ZoeHow their story connects
Zoe's role as a messenger joins a playful personality to events that matter far beyond a mortal neighbourhood. Her attention does not always follow the scale of the danger around her. The contrast explains the uncertainty of an encounter without establishing that every magical accident was deliberately caused.

A gold-veined marble entrance on Targon's eastern slopes marks a place of Solari worship. It offers a grounded introduction to the region's religious traditions.

Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.
