The person behind the champion

A story to start with

A warrior as fearless as he is ornery, the yordle Kled embodies the furious bravado of Noxus. He is an icon beloved by the empire's soldiers, distrusted by its officers, and loathed by the nobility. Many claim Kled has fought in every campaign the legions have waged, has “acquired” every military title, and has never once backed down from a fight. Though the truth of the matter is often questionable, one part of his legend is undeniable: Charging into battle on his un-trusty steed, Skaarl, Kled fights to protect what's his… and to take whatever he can get.

What shapes their story?

The improbable tales around Kled turn possession into a personality. Skaarl's companionship makes the bluster a partnership, while the legend's exaggeration should remain visible rather than becoming an exact military record of every claimed victory.

A legend within Noxian military life

Kled's legend is woven through Noxian military life. Soldiers celebrate a furious yordle whose claims of service and titles have grown almost as unruly as his temper.

    Charging into battle with Skaarl

Charging with Skaarl turns that reputation into a very visible battlefield presence. Possession, territory and the refusal to back down are more immediate concerns to him than polite relationships with the empire's officers.

The legend outgrows the campaign record

Kled's endless titles and territorial claims belong to the stories Noxian soldiers tell about him. Skaarl is his essential companion in battle and retreat. An exaggerated claim of service should not be counted as proof that he personally took part in every imperial campaign.

Where the stories come from

VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

What the pictures show

Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.
