The person behind the champion

A story to start with

A magical cat from Bandle City, Yuumi was once the familiar of a yordle enchantress, Norra. When her master mysteriously disappeared, Yuumi became the Keeper of Norra's sentient Book of Thresholds, traveling through portals in its pages to search for her. Yearning for affection, Yuumi seeks friendly companions to partner with on her journey, protecting them with luminous shields and fierce resolve. While Book strives to keep her on task, Yuumi is often drawn to worldly comforts, such as naps and fish. In the end, however, she always returns to her quest to find her friend.

Short biography by Riot Games · Data Dragon 16.20.1

What shapes their story?

Book of Thresholds turns a comfortable familiar's life into a search across realms. Yuumi's affection and distractions remain recognisably small beside that vast setting, keeping the quest anchored in a missing friend rather than exploration for its own sake.

Norra disappears from a familiar home

Yuumi's comfortable life as Norra's familiar changed when the enchantress disappeared. Norra's sentient Book of Thresholds became both a responsibility and the means of searching beyond their familiar home.

Book opens the search through portals

Portals open a vast world, but travel does not remove a cat's appetite for naps, affection and food. Book's determination keeps the mission present whenever a new comfort threatens to distract her.

A search survives the next comfortable distraction

Book keeps Norra's disappearance at the centre of a journey full of places a cat might prefer to stop. Yuumi's affection and familiar habits travel with genuine loyalty. The portals make the search possible without turning each destination into a confirmed meeting with its resident champions.

The story beneath the scenery

What makes this place matter?

Bandle City belongs to the spirit realm, so its routes cannot be read like ordinary roads. Yordles also make lives across Runeterra. A champion's connection to this home does not mean every part of their biography takes place here.

Where the stories come from

VRC.LOL writes the introductions, reading notes and connections using linked Riot Universe biographies and regional guides. Short champion summaries use Data Dragon version 16.20.1. Longer histories link to the official story used; some champions currently have a shorter official overview.

What the pictures show

Artwork belongs to Riot Games. Scenery comes from Riot's Runeterra world map; champion art depicts the character. A regional illustration sets the scene when a landmark has no dedicated image. It does not show a confirmed event at that exact place.

A world still being written

Older biographies and newer adaptations can differ. These guides introduce connections rather than declaring a final chronology or a character's current whereabouts. Translations help you explore and may keep original proper names. Follow the official sources for full context.
