A past that shapes the present
Long before the invasion, communities built their lives around the closeness of the spirit realm. Noxian occupation turned sacred places into battlefields and divided survivors over resistance. Preserving balance, fighting back and protecting vastayan magic are related struggles with very different answers.
The story beneath the scenery
Ionia's spiritual balance is not a single shared answer. The Noxian invasion forces champions to disagree about tradition, resistance and revenge. The Placidium offers a starting point for Irelia's resistance; the Kinkou opens a different path through Shen and Akali's stories.

Ivern's gentle form conceals a history of violence. His transformation through Ionia's sacred natural magic turned a destructive mortal life toward an understanding of the living world.

Kayn began as a Noxian child soldier sent into Ionia's war. Zed recognised a survivor with unusual potential and trained him within the Order of Shadow instead of leaving him to that expendable role.
KennenTheir place in the wider story
Kennen is a yordle whose long service connects him deeply to Ionia's Kinkou. Maintaining balance between the spirit and material realms is a continuing responsibility rather than a single military campaign.
