Articles o' use
Plain rules fer using th' lookup responsibly.
Arrr, informational service
Stats, clash summaries, and general matchup guidance be informational. They may be delayed, incomplete, or affected by Riot API availability and battle patches. Nay result be a guarantee o' rank, performance, or clash outcome.
Arrr, fair use
Do nay automate excessive requests, bypass rate limits, probe private routes, or use th' service to harass or identify sailors beyond ship's intelligence reasonably visible through Riot services. Access may be limited to protect th' service and Riot APIs.
VRC.LOL documents its harbour-side pacing, response-header monitoring, 429 handling and Production approval boundary on th' API use and rate limits chart.
Arrr, riot data and assets
VRC.LOL be an end-user learning product, nay a data broker. It does nay sell, license, or provide raw Riot API responses or API access to another company. Public features present transformed sailor ship's intelligence and educational references fer th' person using th' product.
League names, champion artwork, gear artwork, icons, and other battle-specific static data be used from Riot-supported sources such as Data Dragon or permitted Riot materials. VRC.LOL does nay use Riot branding to imply that th' product be official, approved, or operated by Riot.
Arrr, registration and credentials
Riot API credentials be kept in private harbour configuration and be nay placed in browser code, URLs, downloads, or th' Windows Companion. A Production key be used only fer th' registered product it belongs to. Material product features and Riot data uses must remain accurately described in th' Riot Developer Portal.
The VRC.LOL League Tools Production application is currently Pending Review. Riot-backed public player lookups and publication of private Match-v5 research remain disabled until Riot approves the relevant use. The invited Companion remains a private prototype and contains no Riot API key.
Arrr, private verification records
When an invited tester explicitly enables completed-clash verification, Companion observations be treated as provisional and untrusted. They remain private while a paced harbour-side queue requests th' corresponding Clash-v5 record. Only Riot-returned fields be labelled verified; overboard or rejected records remain clearly identified and be nay promoted into public or aggregate evidence.
Arrr, competitive integrity
Th' product does nay expose hidden ship's intelligence, create unofficial MMR or ELO ratings, shame or report sailors, or automate battle actions. Pre-battle references may reveal visible draft ship's intelligence and multiple choices. During play, th' companion keeps that course fixed and may display sailor-visible facts, but it does nay use live score, doubloons, levels, inventory, or prizes to pick a target, reorder a loadout, prescribe a purchase, or calculate a claim victory chance.
Th' present loadout does nay track or share overboard foe ultimate or spell cooldowns. A proposed champion-pick rune or summoner-spell application flow remains disabled unless its exact Preview, Confirm and Apply behavior be recorded and audited as a material product change.
Th' desktop companion remains a private inspect loadout while its League Client and Live Client usage be disclosed to and reviewed by Riot. A private inspect loadout be nay evidence o' Riot approval and must nay be represented as endorsed or seaworthy fer public distribution until that inspect be shipshape.
Arrr, local client and spectator data
Th' companion uses local League Client and Battle Client interfaces that Riot documents as local and unsupported fer third-party support guarantees. It may also display delayed spectator ship's intelligence made available by Riot. These interfaces can change, omit fields, or stop holding water without notice.
Spectator mode be read only. It cannae pick, ban, swap, send chat, control another sailor record, or remove Riot's spectator delay. Inferred lanes be labelled as likely rather than confirmed.
Arrr, local storage
Finished non-custom matches be saved aboard this PC for each Riot account till ye clear ’em. Switching accounts switches this log.
The companion's history is encrypted and separated by Riot account for private post-match review. Records from another Riot account are not shown in the active account's history. Records can span game patches; each record retains its own patch when known. The tester can delete the active history in the app.
Explicit local recovery runs between matches and reads up to 20 recent entries from the active account's local League client per request. This request limit does not delete older saved matches. Recovery preserves existing saved plans and does not enable uploading or private verification. Missing historical roles, saved plans and unavailable event timestamps are not inferred.
Arrr, custom matches
Custom-clash captain's log be nay included in public sailor lookups. It may only be shown in a future feature when th' affected sailor explicitly opts in through a Riot-approved sailor record flow.
Arrr, availability and changes
Features may change, pause, or be withdrawn when Riot endpoints, policies, rate limits, battle behaviour, or product-inspect requirements change. Cached and spectator ship's intelligence can be older than th' live sailor record state. Continued use after a published refit means using th' product under th' revised articles.
Th' invited Windows loadout uses a required refit channel. It may refuse to open until it can verify th' present release and install a mandatory replacement. Th' refit process verifies th' haul aboard size and SHA-256 afore replacing th' executable and preserves th' existing file when verification or replacement fails.
